Expedite the Interview Process

How can we ensure a qualified candidate with fewer steps in the interview process? By knowing what you are looking for, and understanding the pricing and goals for each party; finding the right candidate can be easier than you think.

Below are a few basic steps to assist in finding the right candidate sooner:

1. Know what you are looking for

What is required of this candidate to do the job? Of course, hiring the right candidate goes beyond hard skills, but this is a great place to start. Know the specifics, and then the characteristics for the personality that fits your culture.

2. Understanding pricing

Know the salary and try to get it right the first time. This can be tricky because the job market and candidate demands are constantly changing. But setting a realistic and enticing salary range will help to grab the attention of suitable candidates.

3. Discuss goals

What are the short and long-term expectations for this position? Does it align with the candidate's goals? A lot of candidates are looking for “opportunity for growth”, making sure the candidate's future goals align with the company’s can be a great way to quickly assess if the candidate could be the right long-term fit for the company.

If the candidate you are interviewing does not align with the company's basic needs, they are likely not the right candidate. Expediting the interview process saves time, energy and money for both the company and for the candidate.
