It has been over a year since I joined the Hunter Crown team. While I have helped many companies fulfill different roles, I will never forget my first-ever placement. This person was recently recognized for all the work he has done and just earned a promotion!
A few things made this role so special to me:
It was my first role to fill.
I did not have experience since I was new to the industry.
It was a role that the company had been trying to fill for over a year.
There were many specific skills and abilities that this person needed to possess.
It was an overseas position.
I don’t think there's a specific amount of time that must pass in order for an employee to get a promotion. I saw on LinkedIn that this person just had his first anniversary at the company and he got promoted to a Senior role! When I found out about it, I got so excited for him. I felt so much satisfaction and joy in knowing that the opportunity I presented to him has paid off.
The only credit I can take was finding a person with all the skills required. He has done all of the work that earned him a promotion. I can only wish that he continues to grow professionally, experience new challenges, and is presented with additional opportunities to achieve new goals.
Just like this placement, I hope to see many of the other roles that I have filled grow into something more. Knowing that I had a little bit to do with this is a big reward for the work that I do.
