A figure of speech, of course. The informal definition of bulletproof is to be safe from failure; without errors or shortcomings and beyond criticism. How do you stack up?
It is unrealistic to not fail. It is also not helpful. Everyone must fail, but being safe in the aftermath is key. Without errors or shortcomings? Yeah right, in what world? To be beyond it, however, that is a skill. What I mean to ask is, are you staying healthy and are you contributing? This, to me, is how you really remain bulletproof.
Many of us take the most fundamental aspect of life, our health, for granted. Without it, we are nothing. That being said, most states have taken it upon themselves to issue quarantine orders. I say job well done on behalf of these states. For me, this is a bit of a blessing. I now have an additional excuse OR incentive to stay healthy. I also have additional motivation to contribute. What do I mean by contributing? Do I mean contribute to my family, my career, my health, my POSITIVE mindset? Let me explain...
Sadly, a lot of folks are out of work or their work-life has been significantly altered in some negative way. They are without streams of income they once relied on. This has made me think, and it should make everyone think...if this situation (or some analog to it) were to happen again OR for a longer period of time...how would you make yourself bulletproof? How would you survive, what would be the game plan? How would you replenish the income, how would you keep yourself in good health?
I am writing to you today to tell you to enact that game plan or to create it immediately. Is there a better time to make yourself more useful, to get into better shape, to create something valuable that is your own? The answer is no, there is no better time than now.
No really, take it as a sign, a recipe for survival, whatever the reason. This is the time right now. Think POSITIVE, take aim and do the best you can to make yourself BULLETPROOF.
